Conference Mission
The mission of the International Conference on Ecology and
Transportation is to identify and share quality research applications
and best management practices that address wildlife, habitat,
and ecosystem issues related to the delivery of surface transportation
systems.
The theme for ICOET 2005 is "On The Road To Stewardship!"
The 2005 "Stewardship" theme is designed to encourage conference
presenters and participants to share information about projects
and best practices that show how they are moving beyond
regulatory requirements in order to respond to broader scientific
and community-driven concerns related to the consideration
of ecological concerns in transportation planning, project
development, construction, operations and maintenance.
